RoomForge / 02

Build space around the sound.

RoomForge turns dimensions, surfaces, reflection timing, direction, decay, and wet/dry character into a room you can inspect and shape.

RoomForge exposes the room model and the controls that shape its response.

Geometry

Dimensions establish boundary distances and the timing of simulated reflection paths.

Surface response

Material behavior shapes how energy changes as reflections move through the room model.

Arrival and depth

Direction and timing help the space read as an environment rather than a single repeated tail.

Local processing

RoomForge is designed to run on the Mac without uploading the signal to a remote audio service.

Auditory ray tracing

See the model. Then hear what each decision changes.

The visualization is part of the control surface: source and listener positions, architecture, and reflection paths make the room’s structure legible.

Presets provide tuned starting points. Size, width, decay, and mix then let the room move from subtle spatial context to an obvious acoustic environment.
